The weather is full of variations from region to region. The coldness in atmosphere starts from December to remain till February, the normal scene everyday is of fresh mornings and evenings and mostly sunny days. March and June calls for really hot weather, the whole India suffers from dry, dusty and unpleasant atmospheric conditions in summer. And after this, Monsoon weather arrives in nearly every region in between June and early October.
Western Himalayas: Srinagar is a heavenly place in period of March to October; but July to August can be distasteful; freezing and moist in winter. Shimla is at height and thus colder in winter.
Northern Plains: This intense climate is normally warm area from period of April to mid-June, and getting to nearly freezing temperature at night in winter between November and February is just normal. Summers are normally too hot with monsoons arriving between June and September.
Central India : This area calls for Madhya Pradesh state that escapes the most terrible of the hot season, but monsoons make no mercy between July and September. Temperatures get lower at night in winter.
Western India : Weather remains comfortable between November to February, even if evenings can be reasonably cold. Summers can be really very hot with monsoon rainfall entering between mid June and mid September.
Southwest: November to March remain very pleasant. Monsoon rains can start anytime between late April and July. They get benefits of coastline as some cool breeze moves more often.
Southeast: Tamil Nadu get a northeast monsoon shower between October and December time of the year, but humidity and high temperature remain throughout the year. The hills might get cold breezes in winter season.
Northeast: If you want to know the most pleasant timing then it is from March to June and September to November, no doubt they are dry but a good one. But, the remaining year it experiences really heavy monsoon rainfall.
